You are a guardian

If you are a private or enduring guardian the Private Guardian Support Unit can:

  • help you understand your role and responsibilities as a guardian

  • help you understand the NSW Guardianship Act

  • provide information to assist you to make the best decision on behalf of the person under guardianship

  • provide practical support to you in situations of conflict or dispute (including assistance where advocacy is needed or providing knowledge about services and options available to people with disabilities)

  • provide information to assist you when you are working with service providers

  • keep you up-to-date with current guardianship issues through our regular newsletter.
