Private Guardian Support Unit - PGSU

At the Private Guardian Support Unit (PGSU) we provide a free and confidential service to assist legally appointed guardians in their role. We do this using the knowledge and experience of the NSW Public Guardian.

PGSU Brochure

What is a guardian?

A guardian is someone that has been appointed to make decisions on behalf of a family member or friend. A guardian can be appointed by the Guardianship Division of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal or as an enduring guardian. Find out more about the guardianship.

If you are working with a guardian, or with someone who has been appointed a guardian and need further information you can contact us. Alternatively, have a look at our publications and free information service.

If you are a financial manager, you should call the NSW Trustee and Guardian's Private Management unit for assistance.
